2023 Religious Liberty in the States Index

Curious to know how much religious freedom is in your state? 

Last year, First Liberty’s initiative, the Center for Religion, Culture and Democracy (CRCD), launched the Religious Liberty in the States Index. This project compares the vibrancy of free exercise across America and includes a ranking of each state.

What We Won at the Court

Last week we won not one but two Supreme Court victories! Right now, Americans can celebrate more religious freedom than ever before.

Today, we’re joined by our President, Chief Counsel and CEO Kelly Shackelford to discuss these historic victories. He’ll break down how our religious freedom has changed for the better and what Americans can do with this new freedom.

He’ll also discuss how these victories have angered the radical left and how First Liberty is working to stop their attempts to delegitimize the Court. Don’t miss today’s episode.

The Faithful Carrier: Supreme Victory

In case you missed it, this week the U.S. Supreme Court handed down the opinion in Groff v. Dejoy – also known as our Faithful Carrier case. The Court granted a victory to former postal carrier Gerald Groff after he lost his job for observing the Sunday Sabbath.

In an unanimous decision, the Court strengthened legal protections for employees seeking religious accommodations. The far-reaching decision affects employment rights at every workplace with at least 15 employees in every state in the country.

We’ll be joined by Executive General Counsel Hiram Sasser, Independence Law Center’s Randy Wenger, and Gerald Groff himself to break down exactly what the opinion says. Biology Professor Fired for Teaching Biology

Government officials are violating state and federal laws to coerce The Father’s House to make building renovations costing upwards of $85,000. To make matters worse, a rouge power company even cut off the ministry’s power at one point.
