Two Christian high schools in Florida wanted to pray before their state championship game. But their prayer was canceled when they were told they couldn’t pray over the loudspeaker.
After having their prayer sidelined, First Liberty stepped in to restore the rights of Cambridge Christian School.
Recently, we argued for Cambridge in federal appeals court. On today’s First Liberty Live!, we sit down with Senior Counsel Jeremy Dys to explain why this case is so important and what happened at the recent oral argument.

In case you missed it, this week the U.S. Supreme Court handed down the opinion in Groff v. Dejoy – also known as our Faithful Carrier case. The Court granted a victory to former postal carrier Gerald Groff after he lost his job for observing the Sunday Sabbath.
In an unanimous decision, the Court strengthened legal protections for employees seeking religious accommodations. The far-reaching decision affects employment rights at every workplace with at least 15 employees in every state in the country.
We’ll be joined by Executive General Counsel Hiram Sasser, Independence Law Center’s Randy Wenger, and Gerald Groff himself to break down exactly what the opinion says.
