On September 1^st, Coach Joe is returning to the football field for the very first time since he was fired. And in honor of this monumental evening, we’re having a national night of prayer to celebrate our First Freedom.

First Liberty Live! is on the road this summer with a brand-new series: Leading the Way. We’re interviewing some of the nation’s top leaders on how they encourage religious freedom in their respective fields.

In our first episode, we’re talking with Kevin Sorbo, star of Hercules, Andromeda and God’s Not Dead. He talks being a person of faith in Hollywood and how his stance got him kicked out.

Two Christian high schools in Florida wanted to pray before their state championship game. But their prayer was canceled when they were told they couldn’t pray over the loudspeaker.

After having their prayer sidelined, First Liberty stepped in to restore the rights of Cambridge Christian School.

Recently, we argued for Cambridge in federal appeals court. On today’s First Liberty Live!, we sit down with Senior Counsel Jeremy Dys to explain why this case is so important and what happened at the recent oral argument.

Last week we won not one but two Supreme Court victories! Right now, Americans can celebrate more religious freedom than ever before.

Today, we’re joined by our President, Chief Counsel and CEO Kelly Shackelford to discuss these historic victories. He’ll break down how our religious freedom has changed for the better and what Americans can do with this new freedom.

In case you missed it, this week the U.S. Supreme Court handed down the opinion in Groff v. Dejoy – also known as our Faithful Carrier case. The Court granted a victory to former postal carrier Gerald Groff after he lost his job for observing the Sunday Sabbath.

In an unanimous decision, the Court strengthened legal protections for employees seeking religious accommodations. The far-reaching decision affects employment rights at every workplace with at least 15 employees in every state in the country.

We’ll be joined by Executive General Counsel Hiram Sasser, Independence Law Center’s Randy Wenger, and Gerald Groff himself to break down exactly what the opinion says.
