Biology Professor Fired for Teaching Biology

Did you know you could be fired for doing your job? That’s what Dr. Johnson Varkey found out when he was teaching biology at St. Philip’s College in San Antonio, Texas.

After 20 years of teaching with no disciplinary action, he was fired for teaching that biological sex comes from X and Y chromosomes.
